According to the IGAD Climate Prediction and Application Centre (ICPAC) and IMC analysis: Most regions show a 40–60% likelihood of below-normal rainfall, indicating heightened drought risk in Awdal, Togdheer, Sool, and Saaxil. Temperatures are expected to be above normal, especially in central and eastern districts. Sectoral Impacts & Recommendations: 🌾 Agriculture: Poor germination and reduced yields for maize, sorghum, and cash crops. 🐄 Livestock: Limited pasture and water access increasing livestock stress and mortality. 💧 Water: Declining groundwater and berkad levels across rural areas. 🧒 Health: Rising malnutrition, heat-related illnesses, and hygiene challenges.
