Somaliland Weekly Weather Forecast (24–30 March 2026)
The Somaliland Information Management Center (IMC) has released the weekly weather forecast covering the period from 24th to 30th March 2026. The forecast indicates that light rainfall is expected across most regions of Somaliland, with moderate rainfall (50–100 mm) anticipated in parts of Awdal (particularly Baki and Borama districts) and Sanaag (including Ceerigaabo and Laasqorey districts). Conversely, dry conditions are expected in areas such as Zeylac and parts of western Berbera. A review of the previous week (17–23 March) shows that several regions experienced light to moderate rainfall, with notable amounts recorded in Berbera (104 mm), Baki (78 mm), and Hargeisa (57 mm), contributing to improved soil moisture and water availability. The forecasted rainfall is expected to support pasture regeneration, improve crop conditions, and enhance water availability for both domestic and livestock use. However, it may also increase the risk of livestock diseases and waterborne illnesses, particularly in areas with limited sanitation infrastructure. Additionally, accessibility challenges may arise due to muddy and impassable rural roads. IMC continues to provide timely, data-driven insights to support decision-making for government institutions, partners, and communities across Somaliland.
