The Information Management Center (IMC) for Water and Land has released the Somaliland Weekly Weather Forecast for the period 04–10 August 2026. The forecast indicates that light rainfall is expected in parts of Awdal Region, including Zeylac, Lughaya, Baki, and Borama districts, as well as northern parts of Gabiley District. Most other areas across Somaliland are expected to remain dry. The recent rainfall has improved soil moisture, pasture regeneration, and water availability in several western areas, supporting agricultural activities and livestock production. However, dry conditions are expected to persist across much of the country, particularly in Saaxil, Togdheer, Sool, and Sanaag regions, highlighting the need for continued monitoring and preparedness.
